When users click on ads displayed alongside search results or make online purchases through affiliate links, Ecosia generates revenue. Eighty percent of this revenue is then used to fund tree planting initiatives in Burkina Faso, in collaboration with tree-planting experts WeForest and Ondernemers Zonder Grenze (OZG).
